Who is the McKinney Amateur Radio Club?

The McKinney Amateur Radio Club (MARC) is made up of approximately 75 locally licensed Amateur Radio operators and family members.  The club promotes education, community service and fellowship amongst the Amateur Radio community.  The club is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League as one of its Special Service Clubs.  The ARRL holds Special Service Clubs to a high standard of community service and development of Amateur Radio as a hobby and public service.

MARC holds its regular monthly meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at the American Red Cross located at 1450 North Redbud Blvd. in McKinney.  From the intersection of Hwys 75 and 380 (University Drive), travel east to North Redbud (first traffic signal), and right on Redbud. The Red Cross building is a half mile on your left. The meeting starts promptly at 7:00PM local time. A short business meeting is followed by a presentation on a topic of interest to the Amateur Radio membership. Past program topics have included Amateur Radio Satellites, Amateur TV, Storm Chasing, Contesting, Antenna Design, QRP, and Balloon Missions. To review past and future club programs click here.

Membership in the McKinney Amateur Radio Club is open to all licensed Amateur Radio operators, their families, and anyone with an interest in Amateur Radio activities.
